This is the hard side of what I do! Hang on a minute hi to new readers and a sorry to those who follow because I have not blogged for a while, I am here now!
Right back to the blog in hand, I have been busy completing a series of portraits (see above for one and http://www.flickr.com/photos/ajax66/sets/72157622912398199/ for the others) I have another one in this series on going but have frozen with it because, tomorrow I am being taken to a gig where these guys are playing! The group is called The Picts and they play folk rock and are very good (http://www.myspace.com/thepictsband ) have a listen! Well back to the subject, they have persuaded me to bring my sketchbook and camera with me and the hardest thing for me as an artist is to let the person of the portrait see the work.
My heart goes into my work and so each image is part of me, I am putting my heart on show and well, sometimes I feel folk just say nice things and do not want to hurt my feelings, mind saying that, I know which images are not quite right and I think those are the ones I feel not so secure about. so think of me tomorrow when these images will be scrutinised.
