Portraiture

This is my new Ferret Misha, This is a learning curve for me, I want a natural portrait in her normal environment, the background is messy but I do not think it detracts from image, Misha is the centre of attention, she is in her own room with her boxes and toys around her causing trouble as usual. So what is around an individual can say alot about the character of the sitter.

This physiology does not work necessarily with a formal portrait. If I wanted to do a formal photograph of Misha, I need a dropping background cloth and a few toys, this would be the usual way to create this but we are talking about an animal that does not know you want her to stay still and pose. Well saying that maybe she does know and is just bloody minded:-)

This is a lovely image and I have to be honest and say it way luck and that is another thing luck has alot to do with most things and photographing small fast animals must fall in this category.
